 We are a community of faith that is alive and growing and joyful.  God's Spirit is empowering us do great things and I invite you to be a part of our mission and fellowship. At Calvary you will find opportunities for worship and prayer, for Christian education for adults, youth, and children, for caring and supportive relationships, and for service to the larger community. We are committed to a strong and vibrant youth and family ministry and our focus is on empowering our members of all ages to become disciples of Jesus Christ in all the places where they live and work and play.

The church is nestled in the community of Edina and is a place accessible to all people.  It is beautifully constructed on one level and welcomes all.  The church is filled with many gifted musicians and members who care about the community.  They share their gifts by serving through local and global missions.  Those who visit Calvary often will comment on how everyone feels part of the family of God.

I am available to people who are in need of pastoral care. I make hospital and nursing home visits.  If you are going through difficult times and would like someone to talk to, just let me know. 

Before being called to Calvary Lutheran in 2015 I served for five years as the pastor of Grace and Emmanuel Lutheran Churches in Sandstone, Minnesota.  Before that I served for five years as associate pastor at St. John's Lutheran in Fargo, North Dakota. Raised in Overland Park, Kansas and Grand Forks, North Dakota, I graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead and Luther Seminary, St. Paul.

I have two amazing girls, Jessica and Emma. I love ministry and being a dad. I love worship, prayer, and baptisms. I love working and playing with youth and families. My hobbies include reading, traveling, and hiking. It is a privilege to serve this parish and the Edina community.
